    I have greatly enjoyed the available train rides on this blog! As you probably know, I’m still quite busy being an academic. So, as a way to relax I have now often read a couple of your blog entries at night.

    I would make two general remarks on possible improvements:
    1) Try to make the individual entries more conjunctive by linking them to each other so the reader has an easier time following you across the US and Europe.
    2) I would seriously recommend you starting a Vlog about your life as a [occupation redacted].

      Thank you for your comment. I’m delighted you’ve been able to find some time to engage with my blog. I must admit, however, I am surprised to see you recommend the conjunctive approach. Surely a disjunctive exploration of the world’s greatest railway journeys is more appropriate?

    Thank you for your reply. I fear, however, that you gravely misunderstood the test to be applied here. The overall success of a train blog lies always in conjunctiveness. Just as the success of a train connection lies in its conjunctiveness: How does the train line connect to other train lines? Where does it stop? Where can you get off the train and have mysterious adventures?

      Thank you for your reply. Once again, it seems it is you who has misunderstood the correct test to be applied here. The only way to account for railway junctions is with the disjunctive approach. A train can’t possibly take all routes open to it.
